Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for the customization, enhancement, operation, and maintenance of the company's instance of NetSuite and integrated third-party application add-ons, including resolving IT tickets submitted by internal user base. Additionally, the position will interact with or configure other software-based technology solutions.

The Senior Developer will design and implement advanced customizations, integrations, and automation to enhance business efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of NetSuite architecture, SuiteScript, and system integration design, as well as leadership in guiding development standards and mentoring junior staff.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex SuiteScript 1.0/2.x solutions.
  • Architect and implement scalable REST and SOAP API integrations with external systems.
  • Oversee and execute advanced NetSuite Administrator tasks, including performance optimization, system governance, and security.
  • Serve as a technical advisor for NetSuite enhancements and upgrades.
  • Develop enhancements to our existing NetSuite platform to further automate business processes according to requirements set forth by the leadership team. This includes Client Script, User Event Script, Scheduled Script, Custom Workflow Actions, Suitelets, RESTlets, customized fields, forms, scripts, workflows, custom records and user roles.
  • Research, review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging the NetSuite system to improve these processes.
  • Troubleshoot and support NetSuite third party solutions.
  • Maintain technical documentation, perform data analysis, and ensure system performance.
  • Define development standards, code review practices, and integration frameworks.
  • Collaborate with department leads to translate strategic business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in upgrade readiness and system optimization initiatives.
  • Provide support and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
  • Stay current with NetSuite releases, SuiteCloud development tools, and ERP best practices.
Required Skills
  • Proficient in SuiteScript (1.0 & 2.x), JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery.
  • Proven experience architecting REST-based integrations and managing data synchronization processes.
  • Deep understanding of NetSuite's core modules and platform architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with REST and SOAP Architecture.
  • Adept with version control (Git), SDLC best practices, and agile development.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Skills
  • NetSuite Certified Developer or NetSuite ERP Consultant certification.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and automated deployment tools.
  • Background in enterprise-scale ERP implementations or system migrations.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Experience with .NET Programming Languages - Visual Basic .Net and C#.
  • Strong understanding of NetSuite modules such as Financials, Inventory, CRM, or Order Management.

  • 4+ years of professional experience in NetSuite development and administration.
  • Mid-Level Career - 3-7 years.
Working Conditions
  • Hybrid - work from home with option to come into shared office space with cubicles.
  • Occasional periods of work after hours or on weekends as needed for maintenance and upgrades.
