Overview
The Electronics Engineer II formulates design concepts for engineering problems. They also lead technical projects, monitor project scope, and respond to engineering concerns.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Applies standard techniques, procedures and criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment
- Support responses to customer RFIs & RFQs
- Support SMPS development for efficient power conversion
- Work with cross-functional team members to identify and address critical performance parameters
- Develop and implement EMI/EMC compliant and other circuit protection designs including transient suppression, EMI filters and shielding. (Familiarity with MIL-STD-461 required)
- Oversee board layout development with special attention to detail
- Perform research and analysis for the design and development of new projects with minimal oversight from engineering
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clearly communicate technical status, risks, and mitigation strategies for ongoing programs
- Support development and updates to engineering drawings, documents, and reports
- Support the development of new hardware prototypes to confirm manufacturability and performance levels
- Understanding of general electronics terminology and test equipment
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline.
- OR (6) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
- Applicable experience in lieu of a Degree may be considered.
- Bachelor Degree in: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Related Field of Study.
- Ability to analyze system requirements.
- Hands on experience and understanding of power electronics, analog sense, and signal integrity.
- Applicable experience in lieu of a Degree may be considered.
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
- Pay Range: $80,161.61 - $100,202.02 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
