Product Engineer (PEWEB)
Responsible for the effective management of the program launch process from concept to delivery through effective communication and coordination. Coordinate program design with Program Managers, including on-site visits to customers' manufacturing facilities when necessary. Assist in reviewing designs to assure all manufacturing tolerances have been accounted for in any engineering change or newly created design. Assure Bill of Material and all detail and assembly drawings are of a level to support each build phase. Review and create Design Verification Plan based on design, product & program requirements. Create, review and update Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis through life of program with Program Launch Team. Ensure all Engineering Changes are processed and implemented in a timely manner. Complete Advanced Product Quality Planning elements for design and engineering. Communicate status of engineering, tooling and gauging changes to launch team. Implement engineering and manufacturing systems and assist in creating new systems that will reduce product lead time to our customers. Lead engineering meetings with customer or internally when Program Manager is absent. Give written and oral presentation to upper management on program status when Program Manager is absent. Responsible for leading VA/VE process with a cross-functional team. Performs all other functions as required; included are any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within JAC Products
- Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or foreign educational equivalent, followed by five years of progressive experience in the position offered, or in a similar position, such as Lead Engineer (Interiors). Experience must include design and development of injection-molded automating interior components.
