Focus: Wastewater Structural Construction (tanks, basins, headworks, concrete, structural rehab/upgrades)
About
Our client is a respected and expanding general contractor specializing in structural components of wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). Our work includes cast-in-place concrete, process basins, headworks structures, aeration/clarifier tanks, load-bearing foundations, equipment pads, structural retrofits, and plant building construction.
As demand for WWTP rehabilitation and new construction continues to rise across Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota, we are adding a Structural Estimator and Structural Project Manager to our growing municipal division.
Open Roles Structural Estimator - Wastewater (WWTP)
- Prepare detailed structural takeoffs (CIP concrete, rebar, formwork, foundations, basins, walls, elevated slabs).
- Analyze structural drawings, specs, and geotechnical reports for cost-impact items.
- Develop accurate labor, equipment, and material pricing for wastewater structures.
- Coordinate with vendors/subs for concrete, shoring, precast, steel, and coatings.
- Produce bid proposals for municipal/public works projects (SRF/bond-funded).
Requirements- 5+ years in heavy civil or wastewater structural construction (concrete or water infrastructure).
- Strong knowledge of concrete forming systems, rebar installation, structural sequencing, and mass pours.
- Experience with public works, municipal bidding, and SRF-funded projects.
- Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid, B2W Estimate,
- Bluebeam Revu
- PlanSwift
- On-Screen Takeoff (OST)
- MS Office
Proficiency with plan review, scheduling, cost control, and RFI/CO management, HCSS HeavyBid, B2W Estimate,
- Bluebeam Revu
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or relevant experience.
- Safety-conscious and field-oriented.
- 5+ years in heavy civil or wastewater structural construction (concrete or water infrastructure).
