Your Role:
As an Industrial Maintenance Specialist, you will oversee all maintenance operations and associated administrative tasks to ensure efficient site functionality. Duties include setting up and maintaining measurement tools such as micrometers and height gauges, adhering to strict tolerances to prevent quality issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain equipment commonly used in a wood production facility
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues effectively
- Perform routine administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate inventory records
- Ensure housekeeping standards are met and designated areas remain free from hazards
- Monitor stock levels of tooling, heaters, and other necessary equipment
- Collaborate with suppliers to address quality concerns and specifications
- Conduct inspections of equipment and document any damage or mechanical issues
- Collect and report operational data from meters, instruments, and gauges
Who You Are:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years of industrial experience
- Capability to work within a team with minimal supervision
- Experienced in maintaining and adjusting equipment to enhance production while reducing downtime
- Professional demeanor and ability to collaborate effectively
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and practices in the workplace
- Reliable in performing and coordinating good housekeeping routines
- Utilize daily checklists, PMs, and Work Orders to ensure optimal plant performance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Skilled in mechanical tasks such as bearing replacements, motor alignments, basic rigging, and welding (electrical knowledge is a plus)
- Able to work at heights or on elevated surfaces as necessary
