Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Senior BAS Programmer in Tampa, FL to lead building automation programming projects and mentor junior programmers.

Impact

• Deliver advanced control strategies that optimize building performance

• Enable energy efficiency through expert programming and system tuning

• Support team development by mentoring programmers on best practices

• Drive client satisfaction through reliable and user-friendly automation systems

Responsibilities

• Program complex building automation systems using Tridium Niagara, Distech, or Siemens

• Develop advanced control sequences for HVAC, lighting, and integrated systems

• Create custom graphics and user interfaces for building operators

• Commission and troubleshoot BAS installations

• Integrate third-party systems and equipment via BACnet, Modbus, and LON

• Lead programming projects and coordinate with project teams

• Mentor junior programmers and provide technical guidance

• Document system configurations and provide operator training

Requirements
Must-Haves

• 7+ years of building automation programming experience

• Expert-level proficiency with major BAS platforms (Tridium, Distech, Siemens, JCI)

• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control theory

• Experience with network communications and system integration

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Nice-to-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

• Professional certifications from BAS manufacturers

• Experience with energy optimization and analytics platforms

• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for building systems
