About the role

This role will work closely with state and local municipalities, developers, and community associations, in parallel with internal stakeholders to promote the value of Ripple Fiber to facilitate broadband expansion and enhance competitive market conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieving sales goals and forecast budgets which align with our strategic business objectives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with state and local municipalities, developers, and community associations, to advocate for company interests
  • Analyze data across a statewide geography to assure community alignment with the construction of fiber networks
  • Collaborate with internal departments (engineering and construction) to work with communities to proceed with permitting and construction
  • Monitor and analyze competitive and regulatory developments impacting fiber broadband deployment in Washington.
  • Represent the company while attending community meetings, events, and provide considerations for external and internal stakeholders when necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, compliance, and marketing, to ensure regulatory adherence, proper branding, and alignment with company objectives.
  • Develop go-to-market plan which align with individual goals and budgets.
  • Identify prospects aligned with business metric viability, build rapport and clearly explain complex concepts to landowners.
  • Effectively negotiate with landowners to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree in communications, business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales and business development, preferably in the telecommunications or broadband industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the benefits associated with fiber optics related to telecommunications and broadband infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with local municipalities, developers, and community associations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft, review, and revise contract provisions.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to negotiate mutually beneficial terms of a contract.
  • Ability to travel as needed within Washington for meetings, presentations, and events.


Base Compensation range: $55,000-$80,000 based on market. Variable compensation: up to $50,000 annually based on sales.
