Responsible for nursing care under the direct supervision of the Provider/Registered Nurse. Records patient care given and reports to appropriate person with changes in patient's condition; consults with RN/Provider when uncertain about patient care or medical act; provides basic health instructions and reinforces teaching by other health team members. Coordinates and processes department patient information; performs secretarial tasks, and maintains organized work flow of department. Functions as department receptionist, and responds to customer inquiries or customer is referred to appropriate person(s).
Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistants: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Healthcareer Association (CCMA) certification required and must be maintained throughout employment.
Licensed Practical Nurses: LPN license is required in both Wisconsin and Michigan.
Clinical Assistants: Current WI EMT license/certification required.
Previous clinic experience preferred.
