About The Position
Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Tech Specialty: MRI Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 12 (3:00 PM - 3:30 AM) Experience: Minimum one year in an imaging modality preferred License: ARRT (R) (MR) required Certifications: CPR certification required within three months of employment Must-Have: Siemens experience and hospital experience Description: Performs diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems, and blood flow studies. Provides radiologists with images necessary to obtain diagnostic results for comprehensive reports. Orients staff and students about objectives and applications of magnetic resonance imaging and safety. Assists nursing staff, including witnessing the wasting of medication and documentation. Requires completion of an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent. Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathologic processes is required. A thorough understanding of the physics involved in magnetic resonance imaging exams is necessary. Effective communication skills are essential for interaction with patients and personnel. High levels of analytical and critical thinking skills are required to perform appropriate scans. Interpersonal skills are necessary for instructing and orienting patients and staff. Prefer experience in a magnetic resonance training program with clinical internship or one year of clinical imaging experience.
