Job Title: Data Governance Analyst
Location: Office of Digital Transformation ATL - AIM General in Atlanta, GA
Shift: Part-time, 25 hours/week

Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, Fridays remote

Position Overview
The Office of Digital Transformation is seeking a part-time Data Governance Analyst to support the Data Governance & Compliance Manager with:

  1. Establishing a citywide data governance framework
  2. Managing daily operations of the Data Governance Program
  3. Leading the implementation for What Works Cities (WWC) Certification-with a target of achieving Silver, Gold, and Platinum within 18-24 months

The Analyst will complete all WWC assessment phases, manage documentation, and coordinate certification-related activities.

Key Objectives
  • Support all tasks required to achieve WWC Silver, Gold, and Platinum certifications
  • Deliver Silver Certification within 6-8 months, or provide a 90-day assessment detailing obstacles, recommendations, and a revised deadline
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the WWC Assessment & Results for America Dashboard
  • Work directly with the Data Governance & Compliance Manager on framework development
  • Ensure consistent communication of progress, milestones, and risks
Scope of Work

The contractor will:
Assessment & Certification Support
  • Coordinate with WWC Results for America support staff and technical advisors
  • Complete assessment stages and dashboard entries
  • Gather data and documentation to evaluate compliance against WWC standards
  • Log and maintain certification evidence, artifacts, and audit materials
Program Management
  • Provide program tracking, reporting, and communication
  • Establish a separate project dashboard to monitor progress
  • Deliver monthly updates and prepare for milestone check-ins
  • Assist with the official WWC application and self-assessment process
Documentation & Communication
  • Maintain program documentation: milestones, deliverables, decision logs
  • Create standardized reports, templates, briefs, and presentations
  • Develop internal communications and change-management strategies to promote data-driven governance
Systems & Tools Support
  • Identify enhancements to workflows, dashboards, and integrations
  • Support analytics and performance-monitoring improvements
