As an Inspector, you will play a critical role in maintaining quality standards for material processing, ensuring compliance for delivery to programs and final customers. Compensation and Benefits

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Inspecting machine parts and castings using various techniques to ensure functional performance according to specifications.
  • Conducting receiving inspections and tests of incoming materials at other sites.
  • Validating and providing disposition for actual defects in both Hardware and Documentation Quality Notifications (QN).
  • Engaging in root cause analysis and corrective actions to address production challenges.

To succeed at GXO, you should have:

  • Extensive experience with Open Setups for inspection of orientation, location, and form.
  • Solid understanding of blueprints, MIL-STDs, technical procedures, and engineering documents.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with management and teams.
  • The ability to navigate a technical environment while developing solutions related to quality systems and process control.
  • Experience in Incoming and/or Production Inspection.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate well with employees, teammates, and customers.
  • Effective communication skills for creating precise documentation.
  • Experience with Material and Inventory Control systems (e.g., SAP PRISM).
  • A strong commitment to safety and security.
  • Availability to support weekend and extended hours during high demand periods.
  • Independence in performing job assignments with minimal assistance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience interpreting drawings, manuals, and diagrams for equipment installation according to specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with managers, employees, and vendors efficiently.
  • Ability to influence others without direct authority.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business communication skills.
  • Experience with VisiPrise Manufacturing, Mechanical and Electrical Inspection.
  • Familiarity with PC-DMIS, AutoCAD, and Pro-E.
