Legal Billing Specialist - Atlanta Office (Remote)
Location: Remote (Candidates must reside in the Metro Atlanta area to come on-site for training and periodically for meetings)
Compensation: $65,000-70,000/year

Vaco is partnering with a growing law firm in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Legal Billing Specialist to handle a variety of billing responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Aderant, BillBlast, and other E-billing platforms, as well as proficiency in processing manual invoices. This role also involves managing client deductions and appeals.

Key Responsibilities
• Ensure billing processes comply with client guidelines for both electronic and paper submissions
• Handle timely and accurate billing, including complex arrangements
• Interpret and apply complex billing rules, track appeals, and manage specialty billing scenarios
• Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and clients to resolve billing issues
• Assist with setup of timekeepers, rates, and matters on electronic vendor platforms
• Maintain accurate documentation and verify billing data across systems

Required Skills & Experience
• 3-5 years of legal billing experience at a mid-sized/large law firm (required)
• 3-5 years of experience with Aderant BillBlast (required)
• High level of customer service and professionalism
• Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research abilities
• Effective communication skills for working with legal team

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
