A School Bus Driver is responsible for transporting students safely and on time from their pickup point to school and back. This includes performing pre-trip inspections, ensuring child safety, and maintaining compliance with DOT regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport students to and from school and activities
  • Arrive at destinations on schedule
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Conduct child checks after each route
  • Use navigation tools to plan efficient routes
  • Maintain a clean, fueled, and well-maintained vehicle
  • Keep accurate mileage and maintenance records
  • Interact with students, parents, and staff in a professional manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Eligibility: To qualify for the sign-on bonus, employees must work both AM and PM routes, remain in good standing, and meet all route requirements. Good standing is defined as consistently meeting job expectations, following company policies, and not having significant disciplinary issues.

Fully Credentialed Bonus Payment: The sign-on bonus will be paid in three installments:

o $1,000 paid out after 90 days on route.

o $1,000 paid out after 180 days on route.

o $1,000 paid out after 270 days on route.

Non-CDL Bonus Payment: The sign-on bonus will be paid in three installments:

o $500 paid out after 90 days on route.

o $500 paid out after 180 days on route.

o $500 paid out after 270 days on route.
