PGS Worldwide is actively seeking an experienced Composite Technician for an 8-month contract to hire position in Merrimack, NH. This second-shift role follows a 4/10 schedule (Monday-Thursday) and will provide hands-on support for fabrication, machining, welding, engraving, composite layup, and mechanical assembly operations in support of military-grade programs. The successful candidate will bring extensive assembly experience and proven expertise with composites, reinforced plastics, and precision mechanical work.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 years of diverse assembly experience, with at least 2 years at the Assembly Specialist level
  • Hands-on experience with composite layup and reinforced plastic parts
  • Proficiency in fabrication, welding, machining, mechanical assembly, and bonding techniques
  • Ability to work from process sheets, engineering drawings, and verbal/written instructions
  • Skilled in using precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
Preferred Skills
  • Military or aerospace composite fabrication experience
  • Relevant certifications in composite layup or bonding
  • Familiarity with working to strict military specifications
Position Responsibilities
  • Perform welding, engraving, machining, and mechanical assembly for program requirements
  • Build and finish composite and reinforced plastic parts to precise specifications
  • Apply bonding techniques and work with adhesives for high-strength assemblies
  • Operate fabrication equipment, precision instruments, and tools to complete builds
  • Follow process documentation, drawings, and instructions to ensure compliance with standards
  • Perform quality inspections of finished parts and assemblies to military requirements
