Working Hours: M-F, 8am -5 pm

Summary:
This individual is responsible for patient preparation, as well as, assisting the physician with procedures and minor surgeries. Also performs various diagnostic tests and patient education in the clinic. Maintains equipment and acts as liaison between the physician and all outside agencies to include hospitals, nursing homes, DME companies, pharmacies, HMO's and other physician's offices, as well as, with the patient. Supports other medical staff members as necessary to maintain patient flow. In some cases where lab duties are involved it will be responsible for the proper collection and processing of blood samples to assure accurate analysis and promote safe handling.

Other information:
• CPR certification required
• High School diploma or GED equivalent if working in the lab
• Minimum 2 years' experience as Medical Assistant preferred

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
