Private Investment Senior Product Manager

As a private markets expert, the Private Investment Product Manager is an ambassador for Vanguard's private investment products by supporting client engagements, training sales teams, and ensuring product health through market analysis and stakeholder collaboration. By delivering thought leadership and dynamic content, the product manager helps position Vanguard as an industry leader and enhances client outcomes in private markets.
Responsibilities:
- Acts as an investment expert both internally and externally in the industry. Provides investment support and guidance to relationship management and sales teams; is regularly called upon to participate in meetings with clients.
- Leads analyses of private investment product issues confronting Vanguard's private investment product line-up. Leverages and manages cross-functional teams as required. Prepares and presents strategic analysis and recommendations to senior management at various forums.
- Develops and maintains key internal stakeholder relationships across the organization.
- Leverages the client and sales feedback on private investment products in order to assess product health and drive ongoing product improvements and positioning.
- Attends and presents at industry conferences and client specific events related to the private investment product category of focus.
- Provides thought leadership in support of the Vanguard private investment product lineup.
- Drives the creation of dynamic content and technical marketing used to position Vanguard private investment products and to respond to investor queries. Contributes to new product launches and develops go-to market strategies.
- Facilitates internal training and communications including training on launches and changes to existing private investment products. Ensures coordination and consistency of product-related marketing initiatives and external communications across divisions.
- Supports business line research agendas to enhance client experience and business results.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- Eight years related work experience, including five years experience in client facing private markets product management and investment analysis/strategy.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
- CFA/CAIA preferred.
- FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses or the ability to obtain them within a reasonable period of time.
