About The Position

We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for PRN locum coverage in Texas. This position offers flexible ongoing coverage opportunities into 2026, providing surgical, rounding, and call support in a hospital-based setting.

Assignment Details

  • Schedule:
    • Daytime Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
    • Weeknight Call: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
    • Weekend Call: Friday 7:00 AM - Monday 7:00 AM
  • Coverage Type: Daytime emergent coverage, hospital rounding, and call (no in-house night coverage)
  • Setting: Inpatient hospital with OR and rounding; outpatient procedures as applicable
  • Clinic: None (no new patient or follow-up visits)
  • Trauma Level: IV
  • EMR: Epic

Requirements

  • Board Certification: Required
  • Certifications: DEA and BLS required
  • Licensure: Active Texas license preferred; will consider candidates able to obtain one quickly
