Team Overview: Join the Firefox team, a community of passionate engineers committed to delivering the most functional and user-friendly web browser. The Enterprise team plays a vital role in enhancing Firefox's capabilities for large organizations. As a member of this geographically spread team, you'll focus on integrating Firefox with various operating systems to ensure optimum performance and security in enterprise environments.

Your Role: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

  • Develop and launch innovative features for Firefox that enhance OS integration.
  • Improve the security and usability of Firefox in large deployments by creating administrative tools.
  • Assess team and product priorities to make informed recommendations for project focus.
  • Collaborate with seasoned engineers to refine your expertise in Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Enhance the quality of Firefox by identifying and resolving software defects.
  • Engage in a collaborative work environment with a distributed team.

Your Qualifications: We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Experience in systems programming on major desktop platforms (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
  • A strong command of C/C++ and familiarity with Rust.
  • A solid understanding of JavaScript and back-end interactions.
  • Effective communication skills and experience in distributed team settings.
  • The ability to pragmatically manage project timelines and implement new features effectively.
  • Experience working with product managers and cross-functional teams.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Professional experience programming in Rust.
  • Experience in developing cross-platform desktop applications with systems-level programming.
  • A history of contributing to open-source projects.
