Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $28.00 to $32.00 per hour.
Job responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on schedule.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks as needed.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Handle ad hoc accounting requests and provide support for special projects.
Requirements:
  • 1-3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Familiarity with accounting software; experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience within a nonprofit or educational organization.
