CAPITAL of Lexington is currently looking for a dependable and experienced Automotive Line Technician to join our service team. This role requires a technician with advanced mechanical knowledge and diagnostic capability who can confidently perform core line work efficiently and accurately. If you’re confident in your ability to turn hours, troubleshoot complex systems, and deliver exceptional service—we want to hear from you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Efficiently perform line-level work as specified on repair orders
  • Diagnose drivability concerns and complex mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and special equipment
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer standards
  • Test components and systems, including road tests when necessary
  • Collaborate with Service Advisors on diagnostics, repair needs, and estimates
  • Maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced shop
  • Stay current with training and manufacturer certifications
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience as an automotive line technician (Level C, B, or A)
  • Proficiency across key systems: engine, transmission, electrical, HVAC, suspension, and brakes
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Team-oriented mindset and a drive to meet performance goals
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Comfort using modern diagnostic software and tools
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background screening
