Protective Services Specialist

This role is essential in providing both physical and administrative security services for the company. As a Protective Services Specialist, you will safeguard employees, customers, authorized visitors, vendors, and QuikTrip property from harm while deterring illegal activities such as theft and vandalism. Your responsibilities will also include documenting security incidents and maintaining the QuikTrip brand as a trusted convenience retail destination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Security Checks: Perform comprehensive interior and exterior security evaluations of store grounds and non-store facilities, identifying hazards and reporting them appropriately.
- Respond to Incidents: Act as the primary responder for security-related incidents by enforcing incident response policies and coordinating with security operations as needed.
- Research and Documentation: Carry out detailed investigations into security incidents, including interviewing involved parties and preparing relevant reports for law enforcement.
- Lost and Found Management: Secure lost and found property, update records, and attempt to reunite items with their rightful owners.
- Additional Security and Operations Duties: Conduct physical security assessments, maintain readiness for 24/7 responses to incidents, and manage travel when necessary.
Customer Relations:
- Adhere to customer service standards to promote a safe and welcoming environment.
- Communicate safety hazards to management for immediate attention.
Store Maintenance:
- Assist with store upkeep by performing tasks related to cleanliness and stock management.
Business Operations:
- Document hours worked and report operational issues to the management team.
Employee Collaboration:
- Foster a respectful and professional workplace through effective teamwork.
Position Specifications:
- Educational Requirements: High School diploma; required certifications for armed security and emergency first aid.
- Experience: Minimum three years of experience as a commissioned or reserve peace officer, armed security officer, or military police service.
- Skills: Strong communication, conflict resolution, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
