Custodial Technician II with Sign-On Bonus

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour, with a $2.00 per hour additional shift differential for swing and grave shifts.

Sign-On Bonus: A $2,000 hire-on bonus is available for new hires and returning rehires after 5 years or more. The bonus will be distributed in three equal payments of $333/$334 upon successful completion of 3 months, 6 months, and 9 months of employment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform cleaning in areas over 30 feet high, including ceilings, vents, light fixtures, and pool area lights, utilizing ladders or mechanical lifts as necessary.
  • Clean carpets, upholstery, and hard surface floors effectively.
  • Set up, repair, and conduct preventive maintenance on departmental equipment.
  • Report any problems, equipment malfunctions, or hazards to management promptly.
  • Complete all duties in accordance with standard operating procedures, including carpet and upholstery shampooing, floor stripping and waxing, and burnishing.
  • Maintain clean and organized working areas, including storage closets and equipment.

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Preferred Knowledge and Certification:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Previous janitorial experience is advantageous.

Required Skills:

  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Good verbal and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

Required Abilities:

  • Capable of working quickly and efficiently.
  • Able to adhere to dress code policies and maintain good personal hygiene.
  • Willing to learn proper chemical and equipment usage.
  • Should interact with guests, coworkers, and management in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Capability to serve both internal and external customers effectively.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to walk and stand for fast-paced mobility periods of up to 8 hours.
  • Good balance, bending, and kneeling capabilities.
  • Regularly reach and twist as required.
  • Push, pull, and grasp objects routinely, along with the ability to lift 25+ pounds independently.
  • Perform repetitive hand and wrist motions effectively.
  • Climb ladders and work at heights of 30+ feet.
  • Exhibit good hand-eye coordination and operate foot pedals competently.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is conducted across the property, which may involve exposure to excessive noise, dust, chemical fumes, flashing lights, frequent loud sounds, and cigarette smoke.
  • Willingness to work in cramped, tight areas is required.
  • Flexible scheduling is essential, including availability for all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capability to handle hazardous materials when necessary.
  • Occasionally deal with dissatisfied or hostile individuals.
  • Willingness to clean bodily fluids when needed.
  • High volume direct public interaction is a key component of this role.
