Position Overview We are currently seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at Libermann Hall. This role is part-time with 2-3 shifts per week, covering either the 7:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. shift, Monday through Sunday. The Nursing Assistant reports directly to the Nurse Manager and plays a key role in delivering high-quality, resident-focused care in a long-term care setting. Key Responsibilities Work under the direction of the Nurse Manager; full orientation and ongoing support will be provided. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Support transfers and ambulation, encouraging physical activity and social engagement. Assist with meal service and ensure residents' dining needs are met. Maintain a safe, clean environment by following best practices for hygiene and promptly addressing hazards. Monitor residents' physical and mental condition and promptly communicate updates to the Nurse Manager. Foster trusting relationships with residents through meaningful interaction and engagement. Follow individualized care plans and adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. Understand general nursing care procedures and terminology; assist in monitoring medication compliance under supervision. Qualifications We welcome candidates who are willing to train and grow into the role. Strong communication skills, reliability, empathy, and a desire to support a vulnerable population. Ability to work the specified shifts (7 a.m.-2 p.m. or 2 p.m.-9 p.m.) 2-3 times per week, including weekends. A commitment to maintaining resident dignity, privacy and safety in all interactions.
