We're seeking talented and enthusiastic Advanced Manufacturing Engineer with experience improving process integrity. The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering position is a pivotal position with the priority of successfully evaluating new and existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability, and develop best practices within processes throughout the supply chain. Necessary Skills - How you will contribute:

  • Design and implement new equipment, mechatronic solutions, and business solutions to improve manufacturing methods for maximum efficiency and quality.
  • Research and review industry trends and emerging technology advancements by attending trade shows, reading various trade publications, and working with vendors.
  • Work with product and engineering teams in the development of new products to ensure they are designed for manufacturability, service, and meet corporate cost and quality objectives.
  • Project engineering/management, including creating and maintaining project logbooks, design reviews, progress control, pre/final acceptance with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Lead complex projects that cut across various organizational, functional, and international boundaries.
  • Develop formal business cases for new investment projects and present solutions to executive leadership.
  • Establish and maintain project schedules/ timelines to meet planned milestones and supplier timing.
  • Develop and control project budgets and spending to ensure all projects are completed under the approved budget.
  • Responsible for developing and reviewing machine capacity models and providing recommendations/solutions for capacity shortfalls.
  • Provide Capability analysis (Cp/Cpk) & GR&R support for new and existing processes.
  • Lead and participate in Kaizen events to improve ABL processes.
  • Train operations teams on new machines and manufacturing processes.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for directing and overseeing projects in collaboration with internal and external project resources.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

  • Design and implement new Industry 4.0 initiatives around Process Digitization such as:
    • Cobotics/ Robotics (Labor Assist to Prevent / Remove unsafe, repetitive, un-productive tasks)
    • Additive Manufacturing (3D) and Digital Warehouse - Simulation Engineering (Digital Twin Modeling)
    • Cloud based computing / Smart Cell Design / A.I. capabilities
    • Augmented Reality / Wearables applications
    • Predictive Analytics (decreasing downtime, increasing throughput, and overall reducing costs)
    • Democratizing Data (connecting operations to gain accessibility to disparate data sources)
    • ESG initiatives (Environmental, Social, Governance related projects)
Qualified Applicants will also have:

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering and/or Engineering Technology or equivalent field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
Job Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering practices and principles as well as understanding scientific methods of problem solving.
  • Demonstrated ability with cost analysis, product design methods, interpersonal skills and the ability to integrate all of these skills to a productive cost-effective result.
  • Excellent program and project management skills with a sense of urgency and strong document management.
  • Excellent analytical skills including the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, process, change and improve design and equipment.
  • Experience and knowledge of Lean Principles, Lean Cell Design, Kaizen, and demonstrated ability in continuous improvement.
  • Strong presentation, written and verbal skills.
  • Able to communicate ideas and recommendations to non-engineer team members in a clear manner.
  • Professional/ mature demeanour under stressful conditions.
  • Must be competent with CAD systems, DFM, and FMEA.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI).
  • Must be able to communicate complex concepts to personnel at all levels of organization in written and verbal forms.
  • Must be fluent in English language, both oral and written. Knowledge of the Spanish language a plus.
  • Ability to travel internationally required.
