CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Bridge Team as a technical leader and mentor in Columbus, OH; Cleveland, OH; or Indianapolis, IN. This is your opportunity to drive cutting-edge design, guide project execution, and make a lasting impact across diverse transportation initiatives.
What You'll Do:- Lead the technical execution of complex engineering designs, technical reports, and specifications for bridge infrastructure
- Provide expert consultation and resolve highly complex technical issues in various areas of bridge and transportation engineering, such as bridge design and accelerated bridge construction (ABC)
- Lead advanced technical projects, collaborating with other engineering departments and project management staff to deliver sustainable solutions
- Develop and manage discipline work plans aligned with project milestones, ensuring projects are completed within budget and scheduling restraints
- Guide and mentor junior engineering staff, including providing technical reviews and support
- Deliver technical development of proposals and external presentations to clients, public, and regulatory agencies
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering required
- Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience required; bridge experience desired
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- ODOT or INDOT experience preferred
- Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices
- Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
- Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred
- Serve as a technical leader within the transportation discipline, leading challenging bridge projects that drive innovation and technical excellence
- Make a measurable impact while mentoring the next generation of engineering talent
- Flexible work environment with opportunities for local and occasional travel

Salary Range:$120,000 - $140,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
