My client is a leading building restoration firm specializing in façade restoration, landmark preservation, roofing, waterproofing, and structural rehabilitation. They are dedicated to revitalizing New York's historic and iconic properties, combining exceptional craftsmanship, strict compliance, and innovative solutions to deliver outstanding results.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Manage restoration projects from pre-construction through closeout.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans; monitor progress against them.
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication among all stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all local codes, regulations, and historic preservation requirements.
- Conduct regular site visits to supervise work, verify quality, and enforce safety standards.
- Review and approve subcontractor requisitions, vendor invoices, and change orders.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, ownership groups, DOB representatives, and Landmarks Preservation Commission when applicable.
- Provide proactive risk management and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.
- 5+ years of construction management experience, preferably in exterior restoration or historic preservation.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred, not required).
- Strong knowledge of building envelopes, façades, waterproofing, roofing, and masonry restoration techniques.
- Familiarity with NYC FISP/Local Law 11 requirements.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
- Proficiency with project management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar)

The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and financial oversight of multiple restoration projects, ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction at every stage. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise in building restoration, and a deep understanding of NYC construction standards, including FISP regulations
