Oxford Solutions is hiring a Senior Civil Engineer / Assistant Engineering Manager for a direct hire opportunity supporting a civil and environmental engineering consulting team. This is a full-time role based out of the Pittsburgh, PA area with a flexible hybrid/work-from-home schedule. This position blends hands-on technical leadership with project support and client coordination, ideal for an experienced civil engineer looking to step into a senior technical or assistant management role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and oversight for civil engineering design projects
  • Support the preparation and review of site plans, land development and subdivision plans
  • Lead the design of erosion and sediment control plans and post-construction stormwater management plans
  • Perform hydrology, hydraulics, drainage, and stormwater management calculations
  • Design post-construction stormwater management BMPs
  • Develop and review Civil 3D designs including 3D surfaces, grading plans, profiles, cross-sections, pipe networks, and corridors
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers to support client communication and proposal development
  • Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and industry standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 10-15 years of civil engineering experience
  • Required technical experience in hydrology and hydraulics, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, and land development
  • Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide technical leadership
