THE ROLE

As a Shift Leader, you set the tone for the guests’ experience during each and every shift and you know that your team’s energy directly impacts everyone who walks through the front door. You have proven that you know what it takes to lead your team to ensure a smooth sailing ship.

What we will ask of you:

  • Play the role of Manager on Duty
  • Conduct daily line ups at least 30 minutes prior to beginning of service; Prepare the team for service by briefing reservations for the evening, menu specials, limited or 86’d menu items. Also use this time to motivate and inspire the team
  • Ensure that each guest has an exceptional experience dining with us.
  • Deals and reports guest’s comments and complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Oversee and support staff during service to ensure all standards are met
  • Maintain restaurant ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil quality and placement; monitoring food presentation and service.
  • Collecting all cash payments, cashing out drawers and closing batch at the end of the evening

Requirements for Success:

  • 1+ year experience in restaurant management.
  • Background in service/front of house preferred.
  • Able to manage a wide variety of people in a very faced paced setting.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
