Job Overview
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.
We have an opportunity for a full-time Senior Supply Chain Technician in our Philadelphia hospital.
Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Technician supports supply chain functions of the hospital. Responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory control, dispatch and delivery to departments.
- Support, advice and assist departmental managers within the hospital with supply chain needs.
- Support and participate in corporate supply chain initiatives.
- Assist with local hospital recalls.
- Support the shipping, receiving, inventory control and dispatch functions of the supply chain management.
- Assist with the creation and upkeep of max/min reorder points to ensure product availability within corporate objectives.
- Assist with cycle/inventory counts consistent with corporate guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
High School diploma or GED preferred
Experience
2 years' experience in supply chain/materials management
Knowledge/experience with Lawson procurement, medical supplies, inventory control and purchasing procedures preferred
Must have working computer ability/knowledge , ability to consistently lift and move items up to 50 lbs. and valid driver's license
