Role Summary: As an Ultrasound Technician, you will play a crucial role by performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, aiding in the assessment and treatment of patients.

Your Impact: In this position, you will directly assist physicians with various procedures, produce high-quality images for clinical evaluations, and ensure precise documentation of patient information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians in procedures such as needle biopsies, amniocentesis, and renal biopsies by scanning patients, marking their bodies, determining puncture angles, and maintaining sterile techniques.
  • Generate and evaluate high-quality computer images or films through automatic processing.
  • Clearly and accurately communicate and document patient's clinical information in both verbal and computerized report formats. Maintain comprehensive records of examination data.
  • Secure and return necessary supplies, including films, linens, medications, and patient folders.
  • Select and operate imaging equipment, determining appropriate technical factors tailored to individual patient needs.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in diagnostics or ultrasound, or graduation from an accredited Ultrasound program (registry eligible) with certification in Diagnostic Sonography by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) within one year.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • ARDMS certification in Diagnostic Sonography within one year is preferred.
