Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver product features from start to finish.
- Create clear and insightful design documentation.
- Mentor team members and provide leadership.
- Guide architectural decisions for applications.
- Diagnose and resolve software issues effectively.
- Implement back-end APIs using Node.js.
- Contribute to our Ember SPA front-end.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers.
- Engage in Agile software development practices.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Prioritize customer needs in product development.
- Work with a tech stack that includes JavaScript, Node.js, Ember, Python, Docker, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
- Contribute to open-source projects when possible.
Ideal Candidate Attributes
- 8+ years of experience in web application development.
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
- Familiarity with Ember or another modern front-end framework (e.g., Angular, React, Vue).
- Experience in designing and implementing REST/JSON APIs.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and independence.
- A genuine passion for learning and growing in your role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Node.js and modern ES6 or TypeScript.
- Background in SaaS web applications.
- Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
- BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
