JOB SUMMARY

This position is crucial for shaping the strategy and execution of data governance, data warehousing, and data management initiatives within the organization. The Director will lead collaboration among Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across business areas, fostering a data-driven culture while integrating applications. They will define and disseminate data sources of truth across the enterprise, ensuring that data-related projects are aligned with organizational goals and yielding impactful results.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a dynamic team by participating in hiring decisions, coaching, performance management, and productivity enhancement. Oversee daily operations and implement necessary policies, with budgetary responsibility.

  • Ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of all related projects and initiatives.

  • Design, develop, and maintain an enterprise-focused data warehouse and big data platform that caters to diverse stakeholder needs.

  • Make informed decisions that align with the overall vision and address varied priorities, particularly when interacting with senior management.

  • Act as a data management ambassador, fostering communication about the outcomes produced by the team and advancing a data-centric operational approach across the organization.

  • Hold accountability for service level agreements and expectations with end-users and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure that the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Big Data platforms fulfill customer requirements.

  • Oversee all data extracts provided to both internal and external constituencies.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

Minimum

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience as determined by the company.

Preferred

  • Master's Degree in Business, Information Science, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum

  • 10 years of IT experience in a data warehouse environment, including at least 5 years in a management role.

  • 3 years of experience in the healthcare sector.

  • Experience in developing strategic plans and communicating technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Proven ability to act as a liaison between business and technical teams, translating business needs into technical requirements.
