POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist the School of Ministry professors with academic and administrative work, as well as media and event organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and maintain student files.
  • Help organize and improve faculty files.
  • Prepare and copy materials for class
  • Assist with organizing School of Ministry library and donated books.
  • Assist with projects such as bulletin boards, posting student projects, etc.
  • Available for office reception.
  • Collect, organize, and file paperwork related to Community Service, Candidacy, internships, learning partnerships, etc.
  • Grading of objective tests or assignments; recording grades and attendance.
  • Assist with data and evidence collection for assessment, Program Review, etc.
  • Liaison with Alumni Relations/Communications for promotion of SOM activities.
  • Assist in arranging SOM events in the SOM suite or elsewhere.
  • Schedule appointments for professor(s) as requested.
  • Create presentation materials such as PowerPoint, outlines, charts, graphs, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • School of Ministry student preferred

  • Trustworthiness
  • Organization skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Current Student at MACU

COMPUTER SKILLS:
  • Create student templates in Excel
  • Tally and enter data from class surveys, student info
  • Set up folders and files for data collection as necessary
  • Create PowerPoint Presentations
  • Researching on the internet
  • Updating Professors' Schedules
  • Navigate Social Media


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Filing, repeating activities, periodic lifting of up to 10 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

School of Ministry Suite, P-104. Desk with computer and office supplies. Use of the conference table as needed and available.
