You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Mission Systems Group, Logistics Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Duties
Help
- You will serve as the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (DAPML) within the AC31100 Branch of the Mission Systems Group (MSG) Logistics Department.
- You will identify, plan and execute logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e. development, acquisition, and sustainment) for TMPC are in place and meet Product Support requirements.
- You will develop and review program documents for accuracy and input including Statement of Works (SOWs), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Technical Evaluations, Source Selections, Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Fleet Release Messages (FRMs).
- You will apply logistics principles to ensure the total integration of product support elements for TMPC Development and In-Service, and Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) program milestones, knowledge point reviews, and future program increments.
- You will provide analyses and develop strategy for TMPC lifecycle support for Obsolescence and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) for hardware and software challenges to sustain the system to sundown projections.
- You will provide the APML required inputs for the TMPC Lifecycle Logistics Support Plan (LCSP), Navy Training Support Plan (NTSP), and Cruise Missile Mission Planning Training and Operating Procedures Standardization (CTOPS).
- You will participate in the Configuration Management process by developing, reviewing and submitting all associated documentation in support of ECPs, and Configuration Control Board (CCB) Presentations.
- You will interface with Fleet stakeholders and Cooperative Program Personnel and Foreign Military Sales, along with other NAVAIR entities and contractors in performance of duties and in the resolution of issues.
- You will apply logistics principles and practices for TMPC including Commercial and Government Off-The-Shelf (COTS/GOTS) software and COTS hardware. TMPC develops and distributes missions for the Tomahawk Missile.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing and implementing product support and maintenance concepts/requirements for assigned Avionics systems software to achieve program goals and objectives with minimum life cycle cost; 2) Determining best approach in planning and expending resources/funding to ensure adequate and affordable logistics support posture. 3) Identifying, planning and executing logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e. acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements. 4) Developing and reviewing program technical documentation and providing input and direction on logistics/maintenance issues and requirements; 5) Critically evaluating the causes of support related problems and choosing appropriate courses of action that balance the interests of the program mission and the stakeholders; 6) Participating in risk management processes and early identification of system integration risks
