Compensation:
Rate Type: Hourly
Over Time: Default Multiplier: None; 8 Hour Multiplier: 40 total hours in 1 week: 1.3%; 10 Hour Multiplier: 40 total hours in 1 week: 1.3%; 12 Hour Multiplier: 48 total hours in 1 week: 1.3%;
Double Time: 12 total hours in a day: 1.7%
On-Call: 8$
Call Back: 1%
Holiday Pay: 1.5%

**** Expertise with blood/lab draws and venipuncture - will draw 1-5 tubes from each patient. The clinic sees 100+ patients a day ****

Location: 625 S. Fair Oaks, Pasadena, CA 91105
Possible Orientation/Training Locations: 8767 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA

Required Qualifications:
• Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries
• Experience with CS-Link/Epic
• 2 year working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting

Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years working as a MA in Primary Care of Internal Medicine
• Phlebotomy certification (highly preferred)
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
• Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions

Job Duties:
• Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record
• Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data
• Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice
• Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs
• Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
• Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider
• Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider
