Day to Day Responsibilities:

A senior accountant oversees daily accounting operations, ensures the accuracy of financial records, and manages complex reporting tasks. This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, and supporting internal controls and audits. Leadership in managing and training junior accounting staff is also a key aspect.?

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable to maintain financial accuracy.?
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present results to management.?
  • Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.?
  • Analyze financial information, summarize financial status, and provide recommendations for process improvements.?
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies, monitor internal controls, and prepare for audits.?
  • Manage staff, delegate tasks, and develop documentation for business processes and accounting policies.?
  • Assist with tax audits and filings, and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
