We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our dedicated Pediatric Primary Care clinics. Job Description
Your role will include greeting patients and families, whether in person or over the phone, ensuring a positive and efficient experience. You will optimize clinic operations by scheduling appointments effectively and maintaining patient accounts by accurately recording and updating personal and financial information. Responsibilities also involve collecting co-pays, protecting patient confidentiality, managing customer service inquiries, distributing messages, and coordinating referrals. You will have the opportunity to interact with diverse medical professionals and contribute to an inclusive healthcare environment.
Qualifications
- CMA Required Minimum Training and Education: High school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred.
- CMA Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Certification through AMT, AAMA, NHA, NAHP, MedCA, NCCT, or similar; current AHA or Red Cross BLS certification is required.
- LPN Required Minimum Training and Education: Graduate from an accredited Practical Nurse program. Licensed as an LPN in South Carolina or a compact state.
- LPN Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Current South Carolina LPN License or compact state license; current AHA or Red Cross BLS certification is required.
Physical Requirements: Continuous standing, walking, and sitting. Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and reach in all directions. Good finger dexterity and the capacity to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted. Must maintain visual acuity of 20/40 corrected and work in a latex-safe environment.
