Business Systems Technical Analyst

Job Title: Business Systems Technical Analyst Compensation: Up to 125k
Location: Edison, NJ

Overview:

We are seeking a highly intelligent, self-driven, and technically adept individual to join our team as a Business Systems Technical Analyst. This role is ideal for someone with a foundation in data, software systems, reporting, and accounting/warehouse operations. You will receive training and support to grow into an expert in SAP Business One (SAP B1), Boyum Usability Package (UP), MS Power BI, and systems integration. The position offers an excellent opportunity for rapid career growth in ERP and data systems.

Job Summary

The Business Systems Technical Analyst will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications across the organization. This role bridges business and technology, ensuring data integrity, smooth system integrations, and scalable reporting solutions. You will work cross-functionally with finance, operations, IT, and warehouse teams to optimize business processes, troubleshoot issues, and enhance overall system performance.

Key Responsibilities

System Learning & Expertise

• Learn and master SAP Business One and Boyum Usability Package (UP) through training and hands-on projects.

• Understand system integrations with external platforms (e-commerce, WMS, financial tools, 3rd party software).

Reporting & Data Analysis

• Design, develop, and maintain reports using Power BI and SQL.

• Analyze data to support decision-making and ensure accuracy and integrity.

Software Support & Enhancements

• Assist with troubleshooting technical issues and developing automation or enhancements.

• Support system testing, version upgrades, and documentation.

• Contribute to user training and provide ongoing support for system improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with stakeholders across finance, operations, and IT to understand reporting and process improvement needs.

• Ensure solutions align with business objectives and enhance the end-user experience.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to optimize ERP processes and reporting.

• Expand knowledge of ERP systems, data flows, and integrations through ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn complex systems quickly.

• Foundational experience with data, reporting, software systems, or business operations (finance, warehouse, accounting preferred).

• Exposure to SQL, Power BI, or other BI/reporting tools preferred.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

• A self-starter with curiosity and drive for continuous improvement.
