Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting

A privately held, Florida-based organization in the food and agriculture sector is seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting to oversee its corporate accounting team and modernize accounting operations across multiple entities.
The role offers the chance to build team capabilities, drive financial reporting excellence, and support the organization through an upcoming ERP transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
- Instill accountability and drive performance through coaching and process discipline.
- Lead efforts to upskill a team with varying experience levels and capabilities.
- Oversee all month-end and year-end close processes.
- Manage consolidated financial reporting, journal entries, allocations, and audit preparation.
- Coordinate and present corporate budgets and forecasts to senior leadership.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to streamline workflows.
- Prepare for and support the migration from a legacy system to Dynamics 365.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in GAAP accounting and financial controls.
- Partner with finance, HR, legal, and operational leaders on complex transactions, compliance, and shareholder-related activities.
- Provide accounting support for benefit plan administration and bank reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of public or private GAAP accounting experience.
- Prior leadership experience in corporate accounting or a related environment.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables; macros not required).
- Experience with multi-entity structures and consolidated financials.
- Track record of successful process improvement and team building.
- ERP implementation experience is a plus.
