Role Overview:
The Healthcare Practice Technician performs essential clinical and administrative duties to support our medical teams.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum Required Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Required Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Current State Licensure as an EMT or EMT-I is required.
- Minimum Experience: None required.
Credentials:
- Essential:
- Basic Life Support
- Emergency Medical Technician
BLS certification must be obtained through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross and must be valid for at least sixty days upon hire.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient care under the supervision of a provider or nurse.
- Perform basic clinical skills and conduct specimen collection. Monitor patient conditions and document care provided.
- Manage the maintenance of equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting, as well as ensuring examination areas are ready.
- Perform administrative tasks as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
