Food Service Coordinator - St. Joseph's Hospital & Children's Hospital (Full Time)

Location: Tampa, FL | Facility: BayCare Health System, Food & Nutrition Services-SJH

Schedule: Full Time | Shift: Varies (8.5-hour shifts, every other weekend) | Remote: Never

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Food Service Coordinator , you'll keep our food service operations running smoothly across patient dining, cafeteria service, and catering. You'll coordinate day-to-day activities, ensure quality and safety standards are met, and take action when things need adjusting. You'll also have the opportunity to:

  • Oversee preparation, distribution, and service of meals

  • Maintain quality control and take corrective measures when needed

  • Support team member functions like interviewing, training, coaching, and scheduling

  • Lead orientation, competency assessments, and continuous improvement efforts

  • Help ensure a secure and efficient operation for patients, guests, and staff

What We're Looking For:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • Prior food service experience required

  • Experience in a coordinator or leadership role preferred

Certification:

  • ServSafe Manager Food Safety Certification required within 1 year of hire
