POSITION SUMMARY
-
Assist in preventative and ongoing maintenance of the Center facility, grounds, and systems.
-
Basic knowledge of Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical is a plus
-
Work alongside Maintenance Helpers and interact with third-party contractors.
-
Check the maintenance ticketing system to ensure tasks are completed within 3 business days.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISION
-
May supervise Job Corps Work-Based Learning students assigned to maintenance for on-the-job training.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on facility/building systems
-
Inspect work of other maintenance personnel
-
Research & recommend equipment replacements
-
Oversee training activities of students in maintenance
-
Supervise outside contractors as needed
-
Conduct periodic inspections of building systems & equipment
-
Coordinate with Facilities Maintenance vocational training program if applicable
-
Complete work orders timely
-
Provide student transport as necessary
-
Maintain attendance, accountability & productivity
-
Plan, prioritize & organize assignments effectively
-
Mentor and model Career Success Standards
-
Show respect & hold students accountable for behavior
-
Ensure quality services for students; pursue improvements
-
Communicate clearly; provide timely info to DOL/Company
-
Identify problems, analyze causes, evaluate solutions, and follow up
-
Work in partnership with staff from all departments
-
Accept direction from Center Director/Shift Manager; assist other departments as assigned

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
-
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced degrees preferred.
-
Experience: Minimum one year in building maintenance required. Technical certificate preferred.
-
Skills: Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, boilers, and other building systems preferred.

Licensing: Must possess a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, climb, walk, lift, pull/push, carry, reach, stoop, and crouch.

Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or assess the lift load to request necessary assistance.
