About the Role

As aPrincipal PLM Architect, you will lead strategic engagements focused on the implementation and transformation of PLM systems, with a strong emphasis onPTC Windchillenvironments. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and partners, guiding them through complex technical landscapes and ensuring successful delivery of PLM solutions aligned with business goals.

This role blends deep technicalexpertisewith leadership, consulting, and solution architecture. You will collaborate across PTC's ecosystem-including R&D, PLM Segment, SaaS BDMs, and implementation partners-to design,validate, and deploy scalable PLM architectures that meet enterprise needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with client businessstakeholders'variousfunctional domains to elicit, analyze, and translate business use cases into comprehensive PLM solution designs

  • Represent the design and implementation team in project governance activities; providing recommendations and risk assessment information in support of decision making

  • This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate complex technical architectures into clear business value, effectively engaging with stakeholders across engineering and executive levels to align PLM solutions with enterprise goals.

  • Lead thedesign, implementation, and validationof PLM solutions inWindchillenvironments.

  • Partner withimplementation architectsandISteamsto ensure solutions align with PTC's SaaS guardrails and best practices.

  • Conducttechnical assessmentstodeterminefeasibility and provide direction for estimating and planning.

  • Collaborate withclient IT/IS teamsto ensure compliance with deployment standards and cloud infrastructure requirements.

  • Facilitateclient workshops, document business process issues, and develop actionable solution roadmaps.

  • Supportdata migration, configuration, and integrationefforts using Windchill frameworks and technologies (e.g., Java, JSP, XML, Ant).

  • Provide feedback toPTC R&D and PLM Segmentto enhance SaaS tools and services based on field experience.

  • Mentor and guide project teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.

  • Contribute toenablementmaterials, best practices, andmethodologydevelopment for partner ecosystems.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's orMaster's degreein Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field.

  • 7-12 yearsof experience in consulting, implementing, deploying, or supportingPLM systems, with a strong focus onPTC Windchill.

  • Proven ability toarchitect enterprise PLM solutions, including process-centric deployments and application design.

  • Cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and enterprise application frameworks.

  • Strong communicationskills with the ability to engage stakeholders across technical and executive levels.

  • Experience insoftware development and deploymentusinglanguages like:Java, JSP, XML, and Ant.

  • Ability tovisualize complex systems, guide diverse teams, and balance analytical and creative problem-solving.

  • Comfortable withambiguity and change, and capable of acting decisively in dynamic environments.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across customer and internal PTC stakeholders, including large-scale projectteams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leadingmulti-solution PLM programsacross industries.

  • Understanding ofWindchill+ SaaS architecture,

  • Demonstrated success invalue management, solution adoption, and client transformation initiatives.

  • Contributions totraining, enablement, and community engagementwithin PLM consulting environments.

  • Experience in Automotive, MedTech,Government.

PTC carefully considers a wide range of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $87,000 - 160,000. The anticipated annual salary range encompasses both the base salary and the on-target incentive compensation that may be attained in this role. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.

Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Eligible employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP) which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
