Wednesday's Gift is an all-volunteer-run group. Our Mission is to provide the basic necessities of life to Marin County residents on a one-time basis, without delay.
Gift Committee Volunteers are provided extensive training in order to vet out callers requests for financial assistance. Our Volunteers take the information from the caller and share it confidentially to the other Gift Committee Volunteers, who decide as a team if we can assist them. Calls are distributed among the volunteers and each caller has a unique situation where compassion is critical, while maintaining respectful parameters. Many of our callers are homeless, single parents, elderly and disabled or Spanish speaking. By providing a "hand up" to get back on their feet is rewarding and meaningful.
We are hoping to find volunteers who are willing to take the calls and to attend our monthly Board Meeting, in person or virtual, the 2nd Thursday of each month. Planning events such as our fundraiser, Annual Night of Comedy & Wellness, creating bags for those in need or pitching in where needed is always appreciated and fun
Wednesday's Gift is a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.
