Compensation: $15 - $25 per hour, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct, install, and repair wood and other material structures in commercial settings.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Accurately measure, cut, shape, and join materials using hand and power tools.
- Assemble and fasten materials using nails, screws, staples, and adhesives.
- Build structural frameworks, including walls, floors, and ceilings.
- Safely erect scaffolding and ladders for work at various heights.
- Ensure all work meets local building codes and safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with other trades and construction personnel.
Requirements:
- Proven commercial carpentry experience.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and blueprints.
- Skilled in using carpentry tools and equipment (saws, hammers, levels, etc.).
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials.
- Strong math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Physical stamina and strength for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet.
- High school diploma or equivalent; carpentry apprenticeship completion preferred.
