Our client is seeking a detail-driven Benefits Clerk to play a vital role in supporting employees through every stage of their benefits experience. This position sits at the intersection of compliance, employee care, and operational excellence-ensuring benefits programs run smoothly while employees feel supported, informed, and confident. What You'll Be Doing:
- Support employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), and wellness plans
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and claims questions
- Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure payroll deductions are correct
- Verify monthly insurance billing and track premiums, claims, and costs
- Administer COBRA and coordinate with carrier representatives
- Manage unemployment and workers' compensation claims documentation
- Ensure required employee benefit notices and reporting are completed
- Working knowledge of employee benefits laws and regulations, including HIPAA
- Experience administering COBRA and coordinating with insurance carriers
- Ability to manage unemployment and workers' compensation claims
- Comfort operating in a compliance-heavy, fast-changing environment
- Ability to pass background, motor vehicle, and drug screenings
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
