Automotive Service Technician

Pay: $19.00-$32.00 per hour. Compensation based on experience with the potential for additional incentives.

As an Automotive Service Technician at Monro, you will embark on an exciting career journey. You will play a vital role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, ensuring our guests have safe and reliable transportation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct brake and suspension work, tire installations, scheduled maintenance, and various automotive repairs you are qualified to perform.
  • Secure guest approval for work based on diagnoses while ensuring a clean, organized workspace.
  • Carry out thorough inspections on every vehicle serviced and perform necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Safely test drive guest vehicles and utilize the shop truck for inventory pickups as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide leadership and support to General Service Technicians.

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Possession of a basic set of automotive tools or participation in the tool purchase program.
  • Physical ability to work with hands overhead, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • A focus on guest service and teamwork.
  • Hold and maintain an Automotive Technician State Inspector's license, where necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASE certification in any of the A1-A8 categories.
  • Automotive Technician State Inspector License.
  • Certificate or degree from an automotive technical school.
