Description
Our client, a leader in commercial real estate, is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support daily facility operations across office and laboratory spaces in Greensboro, NC. This is a full-time, onsite role operating Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with possible OT and potential on-call OT. This position starts as a 3-month contract opportunity and pays $24-25.50 per hour based on experience. This role is ideal for someone who excels in customer service, works well in a team environment, and brings strong hands-on maintenance abilities. The Maintenance Technician will participate in daily team meetings, complete preventative maintenance tasks, and respond to reactive maintenance needs while collaborating closely with the client on work orders.
Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician
• Participate in daily team meetings to review open jobs, PMs, and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance including fire extinguisher checks, lighting replacements, and utility inspections.
• Complete work orders in coordination with the client and onsite team.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests efficiently and professionally.
• Conduct basic plumbing and general maintenance repairs.
• Use basic computer and email skills to document work and communicate with the team.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications
• 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Basic plumbing and general maintenance abilities.
• Basic computer and email proficiency.
Preferred Skills for a Maintenance Technician
• OSHA 10 certification (preferred, not required).
• Basic electrical skills.
• Experience with CMMS systems.
