A well-established and reputable veterinary hospital in Wakefield, RI / South Kingstown, RI is seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-Time Veterinarian (DVM) to join their growing team. Offering a wide range of services, including routine check-ups, diagnostics, surgeries, and emergency care, the clinic ensures that both patients and their owners receive the best possible experience. The new veterinarian will have access to mentorship and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform physical exams and diagnostic tests to evaluate animals' health.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Conduct routine surgeries and more complex procedures.
  • Maintain open communication with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
  • Ensure accurate and complete medical record-keeping.
Ideal Candidate: The clinic values individuals who are passionate about veterinary medicine, eager to learn, and committed to making a positive impact on animal care in the community. The ideal candidate will:
  • Hold a DVM degree from an accredited veterinary school.
  • Have a current license to practice veterinary medicine in Rhode Island.
  • Possess at least 2 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian (new graduates are welcome to apply with mentorship available).
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced setting, committed to providing exceptional care.
