Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Sr. Network Engineer with a strong background in Enterprise Networking, Data Center, and Security. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures. This contractor role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and collaboratively within a team to ensure optimal network performance and security.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage enterprise level network solutions, focusing on Data Center and Security.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define network requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
Conduct regular security assessments and implement necessary measures to protect network infrastructure.
Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference and compliance.
Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and security trends to recommend improvements.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and stakeholders.

Must have

skills and relevant experience
Strong expertise in Enterprise Networking, including routing, switching, and network protocols.
In depth knowledge of Data Center technologies, including virtualization, storage, and cloud integration.
Proven experience in network security practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
Hands on experience with network monitoring and management tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Skills:
Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent in networking and security.
Experience with SDN (Software Defined Networking) and automation tools.
Familiarity with scripting languages for network automation.
Knowledge of compliance standards such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
9+ years of relevant experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise environments.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with technical and non technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
